I paid more than 30K, and I didn't get leather.

$30K sounds right with JCW kit.

I paid 30k, but it came with lounge leather, sun roof, sports suspension special wheels etc. It was an early 2007 MCS that was enroute but not claimed so I just took it and ran rather than wait.

31K over here. I went for all the performance parts and the JCW Aero kit. There is another 2 grand worth of after-sales stuff in the pipeline.

No leather or built-in satnav in my car. My MA just sold a Cooper worth 37K.

If you really want to keep the price down, I'd suggest getting a Cooper instead of the turbo. Invest the savings in some really nice Ultraleggeras and CBE kits.

30K isn't really too much especially when you consider competing hatchbacks and coupes in this category. The VW GTi I wanted cost about 29K while the A3 2.0T S-line I had originally put my eye on was worth over 33k. To tell you the truth, I wanted to put down a deposit to be the first person in ATL to own a G37 but when I finally got around to looking at snaps and videos, the car didn't gel with what I had in mind. IMHO, there is nothing in the 20k to 40k range that is better than a MINI.

Do you need atleast two of these options - sunroof, MFSW and auto AC? If yes, it hardly makes any sense to ditch the premium package. However, if all this mumbo-jumbo seems confusing, take my advice and get the MFSW and the JCW Aero kit. The aero kit adds a completely new visual dimension. You won't regret it.

Just shy of 24k here and got everything I needed. There were some other things I would like to have like nav and all of that, but much cheaper to do that stuff aftermarket.

I would have agreed with you before I spent some quality time with the lounge leather.

Now, I believe it to be well worth the price. It's the one piece of the car that you have direct contact with every second your in the vehicle. The look, feel and smell of the leather is just so satisfying. I wouldn't give it up for twice the price.

Yes, but would I love your car as much? Or you mine?

That's the beauty of specing your own MINI. Whether it's $22,000 or $42,000. It's YOUR creation that you can make in your own vision. And you love it since it was built on your own needs, desires and tastes.
