Allow myself to introduce...uh..myself.

Hey everyone, my name is Mo, I'm 23, I'm a photographer/graphic designer, I'm somewhat new to the Mini scene but not new to the Euro scene (always at events like Bimmerfest, and others and a regular on forums: Vwvortex, Audizine, Bimmerfest). I've always liked the MINI's and might be purchasing one in the next month or so. I currently drive an 04 Audi A4 1.8T Ultra Sport but am looking forward to hopping into a 6spd 07 MCS. I test drove one the other day and my god it was freak'n awesome!
I'm looking at purchasing one with Premium/Sport and Hi-Fi. Are there any other options you guys would recommend me getting that really MADE the Mini for you? I'm trying to stay south of 30k and won't be paying mark-up.
Oh, regarding the Hi-Fi sound, how are you guys liking it, i unfortunately forgot to test it out ! I also heard from the sales rep that BMW/Mini is working on a above-glovebox cd changer that will be plug'n play with the 07's, any truth to this? Thanks and I'm looking forward to joining the community!

Hi, welcome to NAM. Photography is one of my hobbies.

The MINI Cooper S is a lot of fun to drive.

The HIFI upgrade has been getting mixed reviews. It seems that it performs well or horribly, depending on the music being played. There are a number of threads on aftermarket speaker swaps, etc. IMO, background noise in the MINI is one of the biggest problems. Ripping out the interior and adding sound deadening material would be a required upgrade if you are serious about music while cruising at freeway speeds. Also, changing to quiet tires would help, but possibly at the expense of handling.

They are pretty amazing aren't they!?!?! I don't blame you for not wanting to pay mark-ups. It can be avoided.

Next time try "Allow me to introduce myself" so you don't run out of myselfs before you are done.

But, you are supposed to be introducing MINI-you, not Audi-you.

Hi Mo! For me the options that made the car for me was the LSD and sunroof. Nice cars and pictures, welcome to NAM!

Welcome to NAM, Mo! Long Beach MINI also does not mark up...and never have since they opened in March 2002. I vote for LSD and the oak bits on the interior.

Thanks guys for "Welcomes" and the help! I was wondering, I was reading through the "Things you didn't know about your MINI" post and saw some pretty cool features like opening the window and sunroof with the remote. Is this feature standard on all MINI's equipped with the Premium package? Also, I might not be getting the Convenience package, am I missing out on anything except what the MINI website says it adds? I might order my car, are prices still negotiable (ie no mark-up) at that point? Thanks again!

Us owners who got the NAVIGATION system love it. Worth the money in the long run.
