I'm a portuguese guy (living in Lisbon) whom red a lot of Threads in this Forum prior to purchase the beauty that you can see in the photos. So, thank you for this very helpfull site and keep sharing your passion for this lovely car. :-)

 

Here is my 2012 Cooper. My second LiB Cooper. Love this color!

 

Very Nice!! I'm also on my 2nd LiB.

 

I picked mine up last night. I don't have any good pictures yet. It's been raining here all week and will continue through Friday. It is awesome never the less.

 

 

I still think this is best color for the car. Add the union flag on the roof, and nothing looks better.

Has anyone found some touch up paint that is a close match for Lightning blue? I'm looking for spray paint in a can, not the little touch up brush. I found some on Amazon from touchupdirect, but I would like to get something local if possible.

Spent about 8 hours on her today, detailing and installing a few things.

White bonnet stripes are a little trashed. Would black stripes with a white border look weird?

Also considering going with checkerboard mirror caps. On the fence.

My stripes are black with white borders. I love them. I have a body color roof though and that changes things a bit.

 

Napa near me mixes paint. Got a full size spray can of lightning blue for $21. Just need to spray the tow hook cover.

 

 

Got a second set of wheels from Craigslist for a hundred bucks. One was pretty dinged up so sent that one off for refinishing. Then I wrapped them in some Continental Extreme Contact DW summer tires.

Updated pic here, and the old ones below for comparison. I like the new wheels much better. And the ride is 1000% improved.

New to me 2008 LBM R52. Add me to the list!

Seems most LBM's have white stripes. Mine are fading and scratched a little. I'm thinking of removing them. I'd like to go black wheels and black out a lot of the chrome eventually. Any R52 LBM with no stripes?
