Need advice on possible Clubman S purchase.

The wife and I were were looking at Minis today (she's getting a Countryman S), and we stumbled across an '11 Clubman S. The previous owner installed a JCW exhaust, maybe JCW Wheels, JCW CAI, and the valve cover has a JCW emblem that I believe stated it had the JCW tune.

It has 61K miles and appears to be fully loaded with navigation, comfort access, middle armrest, black Xenon headlights, Harmon Kardon stereo, anthracite headliner, but it didn't have heated seats or a sunroof. The car has a rebuilt title from the minor damage shown below and it appears to have been repaired professionally. He even bought the replacement headlight new from Mini and has the receipt.

We really hit it off because I was driving my rebuilt R59 at the time, so he offered to sell it to me for a couple hundred more than he had in it. It's listed for $9,999 and he offered it to me for $7,500. Do you guys think this is a fair deal for me at $7,500 considering the options and mods?

The car drove great, but didn't seem to make any more power than my JB+ R59. However, it's an auto and man am I tired of shifting in rush hour traffic.

Below is the listing:

Sounds like a good price, but definitely get a mechanic that's familiar with MINIs to look it over.

$7,500 is a decent price for a 61,000 mile turbo car that has been previously wrecked. Take note that the barn doors aren't shown open in any of the ad pics. Make sure those work.
And I too would take the car for a "test" drive, to a known MINI shop, to better find out the car's worthiness.

Just a datapoint for your consideration...

I bought a 14 S Hyde Park Edition (leather interior and other goodies) in May. 29,000 miles, never hit, no stories. $14,500. To me, the $7000 delta would be worth it to get 3 MY newer, 30,000+ fewer miles, the higher trim level, and no stories. Seems to me like that car ought to be in the $5500 range, not $7500. But every market's different, and once you throw in a bunch of mods and a title encumbered with a salvage/rebuild designation, all bets are off.

Personally, I'd pass. If $7500 was my budget, I'd not be shopping for a Clubman S.

I just bought a 2012 clubman S with leather, nav, sunroof etc for $13,500
It had 17,800 miles on it and is virtually new I looked for a long time to find one.
I had to travel to get it but my rule of thumb is always pay more for a cream puff!
And go with the N18 engine which started in 2011.

Sorry guys, but I stole a modded '14 Focus ST (rebuilt) for 7K with 33K miles and couldn't pass it up. However, I bought the wife a Countryman S last week, so that should make up for the Ford.
