I have leaky valve seals or guides on my 2011 MCS. If it idles for more that 1 minute itll smoke. I bought victor reinz valve seals and was just going to do seals but I told myself to just pull the head and have a shop clean, pressure test, deck the head if needed and also do the guides. What brand of valve guides and head gasket did you use? Wonder if I should just buy victor head gasket and guides to go along with the seals I already have or go OEM. Just wanting to get more opinions on branding.

ive used these on all the minis I’ve done (including my own) with no issues so far the head gasket is Elring brand n the valve seals in that kit have the identical part #s stamped on them as the old ones coming off so they must be OE
this gasket set is specifically for the n14 because it comes with the n14 specific valve cover gasket
but the valve stem seals n head gasket are identical on the n12, n14, n16, n n18 so you can still use this n save money
while you’re in there I also recommend replacing the timing chain n guides these are different depending on engine so double check which one you have before ordering but since it’s a 2011 I believe you have the n18

thanks, I'll take a look at this. I had the timing chain and guides done 2 years ago. So I'll just replace the tennisoner when i do this job and call it good. And at the moment I have a brand new valve cover and gasket ready to go on but I dont qant to install it until I get head work done. It's a love hate relationship with these cars ha.
