I Have a 2008 clubman. My 3rd door (suicide door) is not working. I double-checked the menu to see if it was a setting, that doesn't seem to be the source. The handle just has a dead feel to it, like it's not catching. It just kind of flops back with into position and does not release the door.

Anyone familiar with this problem?

The door latch at the bottom gets frozen if your below zero and washed your car. You maybe able to manually push it in

 

Mine did this when it was new and the dealer fixed it. Likely you'll need official help on such as this.
2008 is a good year for the Clubman. All (automatic) models had paddle shifters, even our Justas.
