No rear lights

This morning I noticed the Clubman had no tail lights and no brake lights except the third brake light works. I checked for codes and found-
A8BT - DEFECTIVE BRAKE LIGHT RIGHT
A8B6 - DEFECTIVE BRAKE LIGHT LEFT
A8C1 - TAILIGHT BROKEN
A8C0 - REAR FOGLIGHT BROKEN RIGHT

Turn signals and hazards work.

Searching the forums and Google I found no information. Anybody have this issue?

I have the same issue. 2009 Clubman S. Mine came to light after I played with BMWhat/CarlyForBMW app. Not sure if its related. I had played with the options in the pulse braking in the App.

It is a failure in the Footwell Module. This is a dealer repair as it needs to be VIN specific. I still have tail lights, just no brake lights, except 3rd light. I was told online to expect a $1000 bill for the repair. You can also look at the footwell module to make sure connections are tight, its drivers footwell area.

I had to replace the FRM in my BMW 328. ECS Tuning had the module for $337 and an Indy shop coded it for $75. The FRM fried after the battery failed. When I replaced the battery and registered it there was no longer communication with FRM.

I just looked up the FRM at ECS and the Clubman version is $433.78. Add an hour or so of labor at and Indy shop and probably looking at $500-$600. Crap!
