2008 Clubman (Automatic) Stalling Issues?

My Clubman (98,000 miles) has taken to stalling at stops after being driven at highway speeds. If I just drive around town or maintain 30-40mph, the issue does not manifest itself, but after driving 60-70mph on the highway my Clubman will stutter and stall when stopped at any light, stop sign, etc., unless I shift into neutral and depress the accelerator. Has anyone else experienced this or have an idea what the issue is? Engine malfunction showed briefly but went right out, and no "check engine" light is on. Dropped it at a shop today and they showed no codes and could not get it to happen (of course the idiot didn't read my note which mentioned highway driving though). I really don't want to go to Mini because their service prices are far too high. Would love it if someone could point me at what might be or probably is the issue.

Thanks.

Had a similar problem on my 2010 MCa. After lots of diagnostic under warranty, was found that one of the wires to the controller on the front of the transmissin was at fault. Wire was resoldered no more problem.

Is that the front of the transmission as in the front of the car or the front of it where it is bolted to the engine?

Are we talking about the turbo engine or the NA engine here? Any motor issues need to include that essential fact, methinks.

You can see the controller and the wire if you look down between the trans and the radiator. Driver side

Looks for damage or corrosion on those terminals.
