I hated the factory holder. Passengers always hitting their knees on the thing. Just haven't got around to removing the holder. Actually trying to think of a way to convert it to hold glasses.

I replaced that holder with two of the MiniFin cup holders. They hold drinks much more securely and can be adjust for height.
ok, yea, lots of people hit them with there knees , i just tell they to watch getting in the MINI.

Edit: See my other post later in this thread. Craven fixed the problem I reported below, but I wanted to leave this to show how excellent the customer service is.

I have the Craven mount and I think it's horrible. I bought it used from another member so maybe mine is just faulty, but the phone will NOT stay in place no matter how much I tighten the ****. I even replaced the split washer with a rubber washer, hoping it would hold better. It does, but still will fall and be in a useless location within minutes of driving.

That is definitely not how our phone mount should work, our mounts are awesome. I will send you a PM and I will replace anything that needs fixing.

I have two craven mounts, on for my iPhone 6s and one for my iPad. Also had an older iPhone 5 mount and they have all been great, built very well and why not support a mini vendor.

Received your message and replied.

I'm anxious to see what happens as I REALLY like this mount and want to use in.
Sounds like I have an older design.

I'll update this post as needed.

Update:
I was originally contacted at 12:58pm today about the problems I had with this product.
By 1:41pm they had already shipped the parts to fix this problem.

Not many companies would even bother. Now THAT'S customer service!

Update #2:
I received a package within a few days and installed the updated parts last night. I've only used the mount twice now, but it's exactly how I had hoped it would be originally!

Thanks!

How long have you had it? I've had mine for about five months before the thing broke. The mount inside the cd slot did not stay tight and cranking on it finally wound up breaking the clips. Loved the idea, but with the Mini's rounded off front of the CD slot, it didn't work to perfection. I looked into modifying it, but gave up after it broke.

So you get good suction on the dash?

Thanks hidperf, I am glad we had a chance to resolve that issue, that is what we like to do.

Yes. Had one on my Jeep (which is in the elements 24/7) and my mini for more than six months. They make a regular and a Pro. I've had both and prefer the Pro. It also comes with a more aggressive adhesive that is close to permanent but they claim is removable.

I have a Craven mount that bolts into the back of the tach I use for my Garmin. My phone sits in the cup holder.

If you are interested, our XXL phone holder mounts onto that Garmin ball. That would give you the option of having either your phone or GPS there. If you wanted to add the clip I could send you one for just $5 shipped, you can PM me.
