Best rubber floor mats?

Anyone have a recommendation on R55 rubber floor mats? I want something that stays in place well primarily, black, can handle rainy Oregon weather. I'm leaning towards Weathertech but might consider OEM ones, although there appear to be 2 OEM rubber mat styles.

I currently have OEM carpeted mats... Those round plastic velcro things that screw into the floor... They feel like they never get tight. It feels like they are spinning into the carpet or carpet pad, not the metal of the floor. Is that normal?

Thanks.

I got the 3d Maxpider rubber mats and love them. They kinda look like carpet and are made of a light foamlike material. They stay in place very well.

Those 3D Maxpider mats look interesting. Seems like they would be light weight and reduce noise a little. Are yours holding up okay? Seems like the surface layer would wear.

Replacing mine with WeatherTech. I have had them before and they always held up and fit just fine.

We sell the Weathertech mats which I feel are better than the OEM. But I really prefer the Cocomats as they are super durable and add style.

Thanks everyone for your input. Way, you really get around in these forums! The cocomats look nice but I think they will be a lot harder to clean than a rubber or plastic mat.

Weather tech are good. My only gripe with them for the Clubman is the rear mat gets "crushed" when the front seats are all the way back/down.

Still, great protection all around. My kids muddy/salty boots from last winter never touched the carpet! The best part is it covers the center "hump" and really protects the carpet well.

Weather tech also uses a screw type mount. It fit perfectly on the drivers side. But the mounts were several inches off on the passenger side (not an issue since they are moulded to the floor, so they do not slip).

The drivers side was fine, a little short near the gas pedal. The OE mats fit a little better here..

(Yes, I've had both sets).

I need some mats too. Do your feet slip and squeak on the Weathertech when wet?

yes the slip but not enough to effect driving. I haven't had any squeaking with mine. I do like just taking them out and pressure washing them. Never have to vacuum carpets again.

We have OEM rubber in my wife's Mini and they work for her use. I have Weathertech in my BMW and really like them. Here in Colorado they get trashed in the Winter. Just pull them out, dump the crud and wash in the utility sink and they are good to go. I haven't noticed any foot slip and there is no squeaking.

I like these, they fit right away on the passenger side and a little trimming on the drivers.

They come in black as well.

I like Weathertech but a word of caution. If you have the stainless steel foot rest plate the Weathertech hard plastic rubbed a permanent mark in it over last winter season. As a result I cut out a portion of the mat so it did not contact the foot plate any more. Also since I was annoyed looking at it I tried rubbing it out but no luck, I ended up rotating the plate 180 degrees so I did not need to see it every time I drive. Also I currently have the rubber MINI OEM mats and will install the Weathertech's mats back once it gets colder. They really hold water/slush.

I had weather tech in my old Honda, I really liked them. I have the OEM mats for the mini, and they seem to be the same construction as Weather Tech. I'd go for either of them, just buy the cheaper set. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that mind's are just rebranded weather tech.

NO! They somehow don't make that awful noise!

Thanks
+1 For this set from ECS, this is what I got last year and they did an awesome job! Held up very well to all the slush over winter time.

The round Velcro discs just screw into the carpet, so theres never a 'fully tight' posistion. The MINI branded weather techs from ECS come with new discs, so you can make a new hole if you wanted. Perhaps the your old discs have spun around too much and rounded out the area they are set into?

As a side note... The Mini factory mats are "Made in USA".

Quite sure they are Weathertechs.
