Suspension Question

I have a club member with an R56 selling his JCW Suspension. Does anyone know if there will be any issues putting it on my R55 Clubman? Has anyone done this?

Thanks!

Is it a dealer/port installed JCW suspension or the stock suspension from a JCW? If the latter, I would expect no benefit from it.

The springs supplied for any type suspension on any MINI are dependent on the weight of installed options on the idividual car and likely differ between models as well. I was going to suggest that you ask a dealer if the other parts of a JCW suspension are different for Clubman vs JCW, but I see no JCW suspension accessory available for a Clubman on MINIUSA.COM. None has been made available for a Roadster either due to insufficient demand. A part number comparison of stock suspension parts could be made at REALOEM.COM to determine if they are the same.

If you get a more definitive answer I'd be interested in seeing it as a Coupe JCW suspension may just find it's way onto my Roadster in the future.

Shocks and particularly the springs are different between R56 and clubman. Won't work well.
There's no aftermarket JCW suspension kit for the clubman. I checked. Ended up doing Koni FSD and Eibach pro-kit springs, on my non-S 2009.

Thank you all for your feedback and as crash and hsauto have both stated they will attach but the weight differences (the ones that were for sale were of a hatch with no sunroof, mine has a sunroof to boot) would have not made for a proper set up.

Much appreciated!

I too am curious, since the Koni FSD aren't meant to be used with lowering springs!
