Anyone found a company that sells the wood dash appliqués for a 2013 Clubman?

 

That would be a very nice add for your specific color combinations I think. I have always wanted a wooden steering wheel. For the look AND the feel.

Is that RR Goodwood dash real wood? Well more than twice as expensive as the oem Mini English Oak pieces, but would be incredible if it was hand crafted pieces of wood.

 

I have a new oem steering wheel fs if anyone is interested.

 

The English Oak and the RR MINI Goodwood dash are both real wood. Just two different types.

real wood? If there is real wood in there it must be an extremely thin veneer encased in black plastic on the back, and clear plastic on the front. This is NOT solid chunks of wood cut to shape and coated .... like this



well ... actually that TOO is a thin veneer but over a lesser wood block and then coated with a traditional wood coating (polyurethane in this case cuz I redid mine)

 

Yea, its real wood, layer veneer type with a plastic backing (supportive) just like most of the wood trim in the modern BMW's. The RR Goodwood version looks to be a heaver veneer, thicker clear with a different wood (walnut), also after seeing it in person the wood itself looks hand done and a very high quality. I did not get a good look at the backing structure but I bet its the same.
