R55 Classic Clubman Photo
;-)
My love for the Morris Minor and Morris Mini Travellers is why I bought a Clubman. It's a shame BMW couldn't acquire the rights to the Traveller name.
Barn doors FTW!!

Google Images is a good strating place.

The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_Minor is the Mini's father (and the MINI's grandfather).
It was designed by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alec_Issigonis as a small, affordable range of vehicles post-WWII (sort of a British Volkswagen Type 1) for Morris (a brand of British Motor Corporation). Issigonis designed the FWD Morris Mini as a smaller "replacement" about ten-years later. It came in two-door, four-door, convertible, wagon (Traveller) and van versions.
MINI still is based in the old Morris home of Oxford... and it's why I often wear a Morris ballcap to MINI events.
What is a Morris Minor.

The Mini was later sold as an Austin as well. Austin called their Traveller a Countryman.
The original wagon style Mini was known as the Traveller....as someone has correctly pointed out......The Mini Minor was also known as the 1000...and then when the original Mini came out it was known as the Morris (or Austin)Mini Minor......the original Clubman was a squared off front end version of the original Mini....lots more variations out there and a good book of the history of Mini is an essential for any Mini enthusiast.

So awesome to see them in action, alive and well. Thank you for sharing as I'm very inspired to learn more.
PMSummer - Thank you for sharing the classic Mini and one day I hope to see them in person.

...but I fell into the clutches of BMWs.
Having always wanted a Morris Traveller, and an Austin Mini Cooper S, and with my history of driving BMWs, the MINI Cooper S Clubman had my name written on it when I left the world of gainful employment.
Fun topic. Thanks for bringing it up!
