I took all 8 screws out and now I'm having a problem releasing the wire assembly that is keeping it from coming out. I didn't want to squeeze and pull to much and break anything.
There should be a clip that holds the wiring connector to the lamp.
You might be able to use a small flat screw driver to release the clip.
You will also need to disconnect the washer tubing.
The washer hose just needs to be twisted to come off.
Mine looked like it was glued on.
I just replaced the 3rd brake light yesterday. I first removed the light from the body of the car. The light can be snapped out gently using a small flat screw driver. Once it is freed, I took out the 8 screws which keep the housing in place, this allows you to see the connection. The electical fitting comes apart easily when you lift the small snap on top of the fitting. Both the connection from the light and from the car can be slid from the housing. Now you can snap the new light to the housing and install the wire into the little plastic receiver, snap the electical fitting together in the proper place,..and bingo, ready to screw it back together. I think it took me 5 or 10 min. OH, yeah,...and it even works!
