Greetings all,

Recently purchased a 2010 base model with 11K. I'm not sure the A/C is getting cold enough. With the fan on high, temp set at coldest position, re-circulation button on, doing 60 or so on the freeway I'm getting a reading of 50F from a thermometer stuck in one of the vents. With re-circulation off, I'm at 60F. My POS Mitsubishi with 175K gets down to 40F, so I'm concerned.

Does anyone know what the spec low temp should be, give or take?

For some reason the number 45 comes to mind with recirc on and fan on low speed. So your 50 with fan on high speed may be correct.

 

It is relative to ambient air temp. 30F below ambient is what I have heard is normal. You would need to compare cars at the same temp (same day best)
