Preferred Strut Plate to Stop "Mushroom" Bends

I know of the mushroom-effect on the thin walled strut towers on the 2nd-Gen platform.
However, seems like there's only a few options; who the preferred maker?

Looking for a set that also can integrate with a strut tower bar / brace.

I went with the M7 versionsand you are able to add the strut bar later if wanted. But, from what I understand it is not a issue with 2nd gen R56. Although living here in Colorado it may not be a bad purchase.

I have the M7 Strut plate for the R56. I bought it specifically for the track.

I am not sure you need it for the street. While there are very few reports of problems in Gen 2 on NAM, mushrooming seemed to be more a problem for Gen 1.

Some people say the sturt bar improves handling. I have tried it and cannot really tell much of a difference with the R56. Again, I can understand doing this for a tracked car.

Yeah, with a stiff set of shocks and run-flat tires, there's alot of harsh impacts.
Good to hear it's not as predominant as previous thought, but probably still invest in one.

I had mushrooming on my R53 JCW from driving Over unavoidable potholes on the highway. It cost something close to $1500 to have the dealer "fix" them. I'm still not sure if they replaced them somehow or pounded them out. I sure wish someone would have told me to get a strut tower plate before that (wasn't on nam then). Ended up the dealer sold and installed an M7 plate and bar system. They said it was better than the JCW bar. Never had an issue after that. A great preventative measure if you find yourself with the sportier JCW suspension. Planning on getting one for the Clubman now that we have switched.
