do I have the wrong rubber boot mat

as directed by an existing thread on the OEM clubman rubber boot mat, i put mine on the lower portion of my boot. i noticed that when i push it all the way back to the seats, there is a good 4 to 5 inches from where the mat ends to the end of the boot. is it possible that the dealer gave me a mat for a regular cooper ?

Are you sure you are putting it in the lower part and not on top of the false floor?
My mat fits the entire lower space. There are notches for the protruding tie down bars etc.
The bottom of my mat , (reverse of the MINI logo), does say Cooper s, Cooper, R55 as well as some other numbers.

That's what I was going to ask.

My OEM rubber floor mats fit perfectly.

amusingdream, when you say "all the way back to the seats", it makes me think that you're putting it on the top of the false floor.

Mini doesn't make a rubber mat that fits this part of your boot. I have the WeatherTech mat in there.

Here's a picture of a Clubman with the boot liner and the boot liner extension.

It sounds like the dealer got you the wrong mat. When I first got mine back about a year ago the outside of the plastic bag was marked with the correct part number for the clubman but the part in side was a different part number i.e. the one for the coop not the clubman.

So it may be a case of the item being int he wrong package.

schatzy, do you think you could measure your boot mat for me ? mine is 15" dead center and the boot space measures 20". I just want to be 100% certain i have the wrong one before i call the dealer.
thanks-
Brian

Look at the numbers molded on the bottom side of the mat. Should have R55 on there.

kudos to Holly @ Ottos for replacing my boot mat more than one year after delivery. Cheffrys lower boot is now properly covered with rubber.
