White turn signals

Looking for info on what constitutes "white turn signals" on a Mini Clubman S - Are the centers of the front turn signals still amber? or is the whole assembly including the light white?

The lenses are clear where they would otherwise be amber. They still light up amber.

Thanks for the info and the quick response. I have just taken delivery of an 09 MCCS with the white turn signals as part of a package and wanted to be sure everything was as it should be.

There seem to have been two types of bulbs in the vehicles. those that are amber glass and those that are painted silver over amber glass.

With the non silver bulbs you will still see an amber glow during the day even with the lights off. If this is that case replace the bulbs with silver coated ones from the local auto supply store and the they will only be amber when blinking.

I got the sport package = white turn signal. I was talking about the rear ones. It's white outside but if you look there is yellow lenz inside. I thought it was the yellow bulbs making it look yellow but no.

Sports package does NOT mean white turn signals. it is a separate option.

Actually, let me clarify this:

Cooper Clubman - White turn signals are a stand alone option. NOT INCLUDED with Sport Package (*strange*)
Cooper S Clubman - White turn signals ARE INCLUDED with the Sport Package. They can also be ordered as a stand alone option.
JCW Clubman - White turn signals are a stand alone option.

Well i just spoke with my dealer and they told me the sport package on the S does NOT include white turn signals even though the build on the web site says it does. Also the 08 configurator also stated white turn signals for a while and that was not the case.

From whta the dealer told me white turn signals are Extra Order Option Only.

So then you are telling me that I paid for something that I did not get? i.e MiniUSA has misrepresented the sports package?

Your dealer is wrong on this and they need to be reported to MiniUSA if they are giving customers incorrect info. Sport package does include the white turn signals.

Front : the yellow lenses are gone but yellow bulbs inside
rear : outside is white but there is yellow lens inside with yellow bulbs. see the rear view in configurator

reporting a dealer to MINI USA for something the factory is doing wrong is not the correct action. The last three clubman with sport package that they have received have not had the clear lenses. So DO NOT say the dealer is giving out wrong information.

Now maybe that is the way it is supposed to be but that is NOT how they are coming thru.

Also remember that the factory has built cars with the incorrect parts many times. Just take a look at the anthracite headliner issue.

Huh? It's pretty clear from your gallery images that you did get the clear turns....

I ordered the Clear's and that's not the case. The lense is clear (white) inside and out. The only thing yellow/orange was the bulb until I changed it for a silver one.

Edit: I just went and double checked. There is no yellow lense inside my rear taillights. The only thing that was orange/yellow was indeed the bulb itself which can easily be removed.

08 clubman ordered with clear/white turns.

Picture example so we're all on the same page. Clear lense, chrome reflector, orange bulb (reflected in reflector)

I did mention in previous post that i don't have a clubman so this might be a different case. But in Cooper S, there is a yellow lens INSIDE.

Correct action according to who? So you want to pay for something and not get it? You don't want to find out who's fault this is? I really don't give a crap if you get the white turn signals or what but I AM saying the dealer is wrong.

Rather than be nasty to me and others here why not take this up with your dealer. They MAY be able to get this fixed for you but we surely can not, we do not have the power.

Now as I first said back in 08 they had the White turn signals Listed on the Configurator BUT the configurator was WRONG not the factory, not the dealer. The blame lied in the web site staff for incorrectly putting it on the site. So that may also be the case now. Just remember if you believe everything you read on the web you will be wrong much of the time.
