How fast have you gone?

Just out of curiosity and not that I would EVER condone doing anything more than the posted speed limit .....

How fast have you taken your Clubmen???????

If you're asking, etiquette dictates that you should post your number first.

We had her up to 104 yesterday and we got there in NO TIME! By and far this is a performance machine that should be respected. I am amazed at how quickly this vehicle accellerates and handles.

There's a really nice rollercoaster-type dip in 80 just north of Vallejo near American Canyon, that I call 'the Chute', although I've heard others call it 'the Slide'...you climb and climb (whether east or westbound), and once you crest, it's a long downward dive just like a rollercoaster...VERY smooth and easy to speed here, almost impossible to stay within limits. I don't even try to speed, I just happen to look down every once in a while and see just how fast I'm going, and Friday it was 'Holy ****!' Pelle was incredibly stable, unwavering, with plenty of room left according to the tach...and while I was easily passing cars, there were a few close to my speed that were not easy to overtake, so I wasn't the only one.

110 at VIR this past April. And the track is the only place anyone should be doing that kind of number.

I found a pic of 'the Chute' on google maps, there are all sorts of pics on google earth, but this one was rather impressive:

Still, photos seem to reduce the magnitude of this dip...strange, since my *** looks bigger when I'm in pics!

Again, not a Clubman, but I did a run of 132 and 133 MPH for 1 mile from a standing start at Bonneville to make the 130 Club.

Might have eeked a few more mph if your fan wasn't running on high!

I've hit a few deer too many to EVER speed at night...I hate driving at night in general, and I have great night vision, but would never attempt speed at night, just can't see far enough ahead.

Generally I try not to speed. I think the fastest that the Clubman has gone is in the mid 80's. If I had it while I was in high school something tells me that would be a different story.

In Arizona, mid 80s was the onramp speed!!! people use to drive fast here all the time.. but with photo radar everywhere, we have slowed down... but for a long time, speeding was the norm here... Im not agreeing with it,, but have had my share of triple digits.... going to Cali or Vegas, would use to set our cruise control at 100..

I might theoretically have gone 100mph on a really really long stretch of empty highway in Simi Valley a few months ago at around 9:00 AM when there were no other cars on the road.

I hit 90 a few times as well driving to and from Las Vegas a little less than a month ago.
