Dumb questions

Just purchased a an 08 because I got a screaming deal on it but I do have a bunch of questions. Oddly it is in the shop right now because the delivery cleaning was terrible. Stains on the headliner and lots of work not done properly. Other than that the car rocks.

Do the cars come wiht locks that engage automatically when you move?
Does the remote lock notify you when it is locked? Meaning when I puch the button to lock the car does the horn sound?
What is with the 3 click turn signal. It only holds for 3 clicks then disengages
how do I turn on the heated fromnt windscreen?
How do I engage the headlight washer?
what is the gong level for
how does the remote gas cap lock? everytime I try to opne it it jsut opens?

Like I said dumb questions.

Thanks

Scotty

You can configure it that way. Mini didn't do it right off the dealer. But a peek at the owner's manual chowed me how to change that.

You get horn sound if you have the alarm system. If not, then only the blinking lights when locking / unlocking

That's the "temporary turn signal". Again, configurable to 1 or 3 clicks. If you push the turn signal arm all the way, it'll stick there until you stop it yourself or turn the wheel

No idea - don't have that

It is suppose to engage every time you send washing fluid in your windshield (if windshield is dirty, so must be the headlights...)

Forgot to put seatbelt. Door ajar. Key in the ignition when door is open, etc

Everytime you unlock all the doors

That function is only available in certain countries in Europe. It is not available in the US and i do not think it is available in any part of North America.

BTW all of these questions are answered in the "Manual", and all have been answer on the forums many times.

Here, in the great White North, it is available as an option

The button would be down on the center console and be the one that looks like the one in the picture above. I believe it is the left hand most button under the heating controls

EDIT: BTW where do you live.

Jeebs

You folks are nicer than me.

My answers:

1) Depending on the time of day, either get a cuppa joe or crack a cold one.

2) Read the manual. Seriously. All of it. All the books. The car has a ton of clever features and customizable options. You'll never think of asking us about all of them.

3) Go Motor.

4) Welcome!
