The in-car cam is riding a supercharged Lotus, so no shame in overtaking a Pepper White Clubbie about 1 min into this video. Nice to see somebody tracking it, is that anybody here? I'd like to hijack ours for an autocross session this summer, just have to pry it out of my wife's daily-driver fingers...

Nice quality, isn't it? HD camcorder apparently.

Nice video and I like the data display. Was that you driving?

I have not driven an Exige but have driven, ridden or sat in many classic Lotuses. The Seven, Eleven, Elite, Europa, Elan, Esprit, Elise.

Minis are great, but oh if they could add a touch of lightness, to quote Colin. The Elise has a bit bigger engine but weighs less than 2000 lbs, compared to 2900 for a Clubman. Of course, normal size humans can actually fit in a Clubman, unlike the Elise . The old Lotuses (Esprit aside) were even lighter and at least some of them could accommodate normal size folks, believe it or not.

I only wish I don't have any track time yet (aside from 9 laps with the Richard Petty Experience). Started with autocross last year, hope I can make it to a track day maybe next year. I'm a big fan of the Elise, would love to pick one up someday, maybe when the kids are gone.

The driver is an acquaintance of mine through an online racing league. The data display is driven by a Racepak IQ3 data logger, very similar to a Motec in-car display.
