Lumbar Adjustment For Driver's Seat

On my 09 Clubman S the manual shows a lumbar adjustment but the seat has none
You can feel the hole thru the fabric where the adjuster should be but no ****
Do the seats come with Lumbar or not?

Only if you opted for leather seats, or the leather/cloth combo.

I never saw it on the configurator board either. I noticed people posting info on it here on NAM and then asked my MA about it at my test drive and she confirmed that it only comes with the seat fabric upgrade. In truth after test driving with and without I was fine without it. Hope I don't regret this decision after a long drive!

Sit in all the different seats at the dealer and see what feels good. I have the sport seats (with leatherette, so no lumbar adjustment) in my new MC and I find it provides plenty of support for me - I can push my lower back right up against the seat to get the support I need. I have trouble with my sacroiliac joint (where the spine connects to the pelvis) but I find that the angle of recline in the seat is more important to my comfort than the ability to adjust the lumbar support. Note that I have taken a 400+ mile (and back) trip in my new MINI and was quite comfortable for the entire drive (both ways).

I usually don't have the lumbar adustment cranked in in our other cars and it seems fine
Just once and awhile you'd like to have that adjustment
I have to take a trip to Quebec next week so I'll see first hand if the seat is comfortable

I also have a lower back issue and find the Heated Seat option as helpful as the adjustable Lumbar support. The seat back heat on 'low heat' is just Perfect for comfort on longer drives. I upgraded to Punch Leather to get the lumbar adjustment.

If you plan on doing any long trips the lumbar will come in handy. After doing 800+ miles over Thanksgiving weekend, I used it for sure. As I started to get more fatigued and my back got sore I would crank it up and the extra support helped a lot. I'm sure Lady G will agree with me as she did double my miles

My daughter's 05 doesn't have adjustable lumbar support, so we ordered my wife's 07 without it as well. However, the "built-in" lumbar support (non-adjustable, as in non-leather seats) of the '05 is really good and in the '07 it's almost non-existent. I get a sore back driving for more than an hour in my wife's '07, but no problems with the '05. I herniated a disk, so I'm a little sensitive, but my wife has the same problem. I ordered my '09 with upgraded seats just so I could get adjustable lumbar support.
