Taillight Finisher Trim

This evening I was backing out of my driveway and hit my neighbors's SUV, which was parked in the street. The only damage to my Clubman was the taillight finisher trim. I was barely moving at the time and had actually already put my foot on the brake. (I guess I wasn't quick enough!)

My question is - has anyone found a good source for exterior parts for the Clubman?

I guess there is not much chance of finding one in a junkyard yet. The part # is G2NMX1061R and I found one for $150.00 at new.minimania.com. I was hoping that someone had a lower price on them but so far, I have only found the part at this one site.

Which part is considered the "finisher trim"?

Cheapest place will *probably* be your local dealer or one of the dealers that offers a NAM discount.

#G2NMX1061R on the MiniMania website corresponds to OEM part #51132756562 (silver) or #51137167248 (black): http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...97&hg=51&fg=20. It came up at $134 on Pelican Parts. I suggest you get a price from Classic MINI: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...%2Fclassicauto

Thanks for the responses. rkw, I will check out both places. Rally, it is the silver or black plastic piece that surrounds the tail light. It swings away when you open the rear door.

I am glad that's all that happened. At least there is no actual body work to do. There is a scuff on the bumper but I guess that's what touch up paint is for.

OK, here's the rundown so far:
Pelian - $134.00
EC Tuning - $127.99
MINI Dealer - $190.92

I haven't heard back from Classic Auto Campus but I just emailed them yesterday.

There was someone else I emailed Saturday Night. I can't remember who it was but I haven't heard fomr them yet either.

NP, how difficult was the install? Do you have some sort of directions you wouldn't mind posting? Thanks

It was super easy to do. I took som epictures of the process with the intention of posting them for everybody to see. I'll pu them here soon.

Basically, you have to open the door and look for three silver screws. You will need a Torx screwdriver. I used a T-15 and it worked fine. You just unscrew the 3 screws and the thing pops right off. There are two plastic tab-type thingies that hold it on. I did the whole thing in about 10 minutes and that includes taking the pics.

I have a slightly scratch silver left side tail gate finisher trim. It can be repaired or repainted.

PM if interested.
