How long to delivery

I was just told by my sales guy that my clubman status is "production complete". He said it is still too early to estimate when it might be here. Does anyone know typically how long it takes from this stage to when it arrives at the dealership? I am in Ottawa, ON.

Everything you ever wanted to know about tracking your MINI can be found in these threads: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...play.php?f=114. You can also meet your fellow shipmates there.

Simple answer. Any where from 1 week to 3-5 weeks or more in some cases. Much of it depends on where you live an where is has to be shipped to.

As Tim said check the posts he listed and they will tell you how to keep up the daily checks to see where it is.

Thanks guys,
The only thing is that the MINI OL on the US website doesn't work for Canadian orders (mini.ca doesn't have an owner lounge). I have been getting status updates from my sales associate weekly, but it would be nice to have a bit more granularity. Do the Canadian orders go through the States also? .. I would think not but I have no idea. And if not, is there a website to track the Canada destined ships?

Again, this info is available in the First Gear forum, but I think Canadian cars go to Halifax and then they're shipped via train to their ultimate destination. You'll be sharing a ship with Americans. If you can get your VIN, then you may be able to track it through the shipping line.

Our 2009 was supposed to be at the Vehicle Delivery Center when we ordered it. It took 8 days to get to our dealer in Milwaukee, WI. The website tracking system they offer proved to be "way off". It said our vehicle was still en route, meaning "on the boat". By the time the system said it was at the VDC, it had arrived at the dealer.

Delivery info

My dealer never answered my question as to where the Vehicle Delivery Center was located in the U.S. Does anyone know?

There's one in New Jersey, one in South (or North?) Carolina, and one in California. I think that's it.

As soon as the dealer gives you the VIN you can theoretically begin to track it.
Your car will arrive at Halifax port about 10 -12 days after sailing from Southampton. To check, go to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website and plug the VIN in their cargo tracking page. Trouble is you won't know which ship it's on until about 2 to 3 days after it has sailed, but half the fun is going to the shipping schedules and guessing which ship yours is on. Once a VIN is assigned it may only take 3 to 4 days to complete production. Probably about one week from Halifax to Ottawa by CN.
Good luck with the wait, keep bugging your dealer for a VIN!

Thanks man, good info. I got a VIN actually a week ago. It is now "production complete" and waiting for shipping. I assume the VIN won't be in the shippers database yet but I'll try.
