are there any lockable gas caps for the mini clubman?

 

not sure about if there are caps that lock that will fit, but the gas door should lock when the driver side door is locked

 

+1 on locking when the car door is locked.

Locking gas caps aren't as good a deterrent as they used to be anyway. People stealing gas nowadays just drill holes in the tank. Replacing a tank of gas is $30 or so. Replacing the tank itself costs many times that.

 

Yea I was wondering if the lock would actually hold up, I kind of fiddled with it and it's just plastic, won't stand up well to someone determined, but I guess you're right, it beats having a hole in your tank.

 

If they want your gas they will get your gas one way or another. But at lest the locking cover will deter the common kids that run around most cities.

 

The Clubman tank isn't big enough for a thief to risk getting shot for.

Now that the weather is cooling, I'm finally hearing the gas cap lock doing it's unlocking bidness when I unlock the beauty.
