Did I get the right seats?

Wondering if someone can clear this up for me. The MINI website shows that the sport seats will have 6-way adjustments. Did I get them on my order? The website only shows it in leather so I can't tell if it's the same. The reason I'm asking is the sport seats on the website or examples I've seen online always have two colors and, oddly, I've never seen different seat cushion shapes on any of the cars in the dealer showroom. My seats adjust up and down, back and forth and have a handle on the side facing the center console to tilt it.

I forgot to add something else: all pictures of the sport seats in MINI's brochures show that there is a large **** on the side of the seat just above the seat belt buckle, which I guess is to adjust the seat stiffness. My seats do NOT have this. That's another reason I'm not sure if sport seats are different for the Clubman.

Those look like the sport seats to me - the bump between the legs at the front edge are the giveaway. (and for the record, the standard seats are also 6 way adjustable. Up-Down counts as 2 degrees of movement, etc.)

I think the **** you noticed is the lumbar adjustment. According to the another thread - that only comes with leather/cloth or leather trim: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ghlight=lumbar

Those are indeed the sport seats without lumbar adjustment. Lumbar adjustment is only available with leather or leather/cloth combo seats.

It does appear to me that the actual seat part is missing the checks.... I have seen those seats in person on a clubman and the checks are suppose to be on the seat and back.

Those are the six "ways". Seats for the Clubman are identical to the Hardtop.

It's just an angle-of-view illusion; the pattern is there, just less visible from this perspective. I have the same seats/upholstery.

I was a little disappointed in the lack of lumbar support, but have found the seat to be quite comfortable, even on all-day trips.

Wonder why MINI couldn't offer lumbar adjustment as an option? I'd gladly pay an extra $20 for that if possible.

No idea why not. There was a thread about possible taking a seat apart and adding the lumbar but if I recall it wasn't very feasible.

You can have mine I ordered leather seats, but I am really short so the lumbar likes to hit me mid-back; its always turned off in my cars.

My sources tell me the euro lumbar support is actually a matchbox model that is attached to fishing line.

I have never quite figured out what the "6 way" means. You have forward and back (1), up and down (2), seat back angle (3), and head rest up and down (4). Even if you get the lumbar, that would be 5. Maybe MINI can't add and don't tell me each way counts for 2 because it doesn't.

It does. Ask any other car company.

1. up
2. down
3. forward
4. backward
5. back of seat lean forward
6. back of seat lean backwards

There are your six ways of movement.

Lumbar support is not considered a par of the "Ways"

By BMW has 8 way seats

all above plus

7. bottom of seat front angle up
8. bottom of seat front angles down.
