Size difference between Clubman and Clubman S?

I'm working on a mod project and needed the EXACT size difference between a Clubman and the Coupe.

Turns out the Clubman is 12ft, 11in while the Coupe is 12ft, 1.6in (9.4in difference)

Then, OCD kicks in and I take a look at the specs for the Clubman S and find that it's 12ft 11.8in long! (10.2in difference from the Coupe)

Anyone have any idea why the S is .8" longer than the non S?

Inquiring Minds...

A "Go Faster" Fin? It might have to do with ground effect panels.

I hope this doesn't start a "S" envy rant?

I know the grill is different so a ground effect panel change might be it

It's not just the Clubman it also applies to the coupe. Believe that the extra is in the front to accommodate the turbocharger. That's been given for the reason for the S hood not interchanging with the base.

I was curious and checked that right away thinking it was something specific to the S. The non S and S version of the Coupe are both 12ft 1.6" (according to the MiniUSA site). That's when I started getting curious!

It's trim bits.

I am looking at my handy-dandy fold out brochure that has both vehicles dimensioned out, one over the top of the other. The S version has a few extra elements of "flair" that push out behind and in front of the bumper that just aren't found on the stock non-S version of the Clubman.

Wheelbase and everything else appears identical.

Ego? That could cause the Clubman S a bit more size.
