Clubman Wheel Thread

I thought it would be fun to have a separate wheel thread from the massive wheel thread in the general MINI forum that was just for Clubman owners. So, if you've upgraded your wheels from the stock 15" or 16", please post pictures here and give all of us waiting for our Clubmans something to dream about!

I added these to my Clubman. I liked the retro shape (similar to the original Mini rims only sevaral inches bigger). They were also lighter than OEM which I liked.

Try Discount Tire's website. They have an Adobe Flash option which shows selected wheels on a Clubman so you are able to get an idea of what it would look like.

www.tirerack.com is now also listing over 100 different wheels for Clubman S. Now to figure out which set to get....
Would love to see some different pics myself.
Cheers,
John

And they show 20" rims for the Clubman. Now lets see if some one can actually fit them to a clubman.

Why wouldn't they be able to? At stock ride height a 20" wheel would be easy to fit. It'd look AWFUL, but it would fit. Our stock outer diameter is 24" so there is plenty of room to run a 20" with some low profile tires.

May end up not running these, but I tested them to see how they looked on the clubman

So yes they will fit but as you said the look would be AWFUL. Plus personally i do not like the looks of the the 20" rims to begin with.

Bronze rims for the HC

come on some one pleeeeaaaase pull the trigger on some bronze rims for the HC. Those of us with the HC are dying to see if the color will work
Once my run flats are done I'm upgrading to to some bronze rims.

Good idea on the thread, ebh!

It wouldn't hurt to post up decent pics of the OE 16 and 17 inchers, to help prospective buyers (configurator doesn't do them justice), and those who are looking to upgrade with bigger OEs or those who are selling, but didn't get pics before they dismounted their wheels.

(That may be the worst sentence in the history of NAM...)

They're recommending 225/30/20 size, which would be a tight fit with +42 offset,
25.5" diameter, and 225 width.

(and yes, they would look awful).

Other than color, wheels will be the largest preference item.
I'm holding off on a switch for awhile.

... I really would like to see this as well.
Although my initial enthusiasm for them kind of faded already. A nice set with a lowered car would look ace though

I am really not liking how the majority of wheels look on the Clubman. The wrong 17/18's give the car a real Wagon Wheel effect.

Factory ones ... I think the R108 and the Websopkes look best.

Personally when I switch I am sticking with 15's or 16's ... get a wider set of tires and drop the car a bit.

I have the 17" 5 star, and I really think they will look great powder coated black. Just another $200 per wheel.

You mean $200 per wheel for powdercoating? Sounds like someone is trying to rip you off I've seen a ton of places charging 70/wheel. I paid $50/wheel after searching around a great deal. It should at least be 100 or less per wheel.

Oooh, anyone have a Clubman with R108's...I think I'm leaning towards that as a replacement for my stock 15's.
