If you don't have the Nav, which I do not, you must scroll through the options on the On Board Computer (OBC) by pressing the little button on the end of the blinker stalk...going past Set/Info...when you get to the item you wish to zero out...as ngweibing wrote - hold the button in for a few seconds longer.

As for resetting your trip odometer - that's even easier...the little black stick like button that sticks out from the OBC itself next to the trip odometer.

When I first got this second generation MINI, I felt like a complete idiot when it came to all this pressing of buttons and *****...now it's old hat.

I prefer to use the radio display to reset the miles per gallon independently as using the stalk control will reset all of those stats.

Do you have a "menu" button on yours"? If so, just switch on, press it and twiddle the selector **** to highlight whatever you want to change and then press the reset button that's highlighted.

The button does not reset all the values unless you choose for it to - at least mine doesn't.

I just find it easier to use that button because I can do it faster.

its one of the ones directly below the display, where the presets would be when you're in radio mode.

is there an online manual or "how to" that displays all the icons with the OBC? I mean, besides the manual that comes with the car.

I have the pdf versions of with or without NAV owner's manuals. I'm pretty sure they will assist with this thread.

The manual comes with all the info - including the Nav, I believe but never bothered to check... If you want it, you can either PM me with an email address for me to send it to you as an attachment - or you can contact MINI via the Owners Lounge and they will email it to you. You choice.

My 2008 Clubman manual pdf files are distinctly different. Anthony314, just send me a private message with your e-mail or just have otra do it. It is no problem at all. I'm a work unti midnight and when I get home, I can send both files.
