Fishing Rods ?

My float tube will go on top in a rack, but ideally I would like to carry fishing rods inside.

I cannot find the dimension: Can someone tell me please..?

What is the length inside the Clubman from the windshield to the back doors; measured at or near the headliner?

Thanks!

You will have 6ft 11in at that height, measured from above the sun visor straight back to the door. But 8ft rods would fit alongside the passengers on the window side, resting on the seat backs and the parcel shelf if you load them after the passengers are seated. Or 9ft rods could be carried on the centreline, resting on the dash and parcel shelf.

But it would be easier if you only had one passenger, seated in the back, as then 8ft rods would slip neatly and securely through the front and back headrest brackets.

I just open the pass side window a little and put them on the butt of the pole on the floor so at least the reels are protected.

If you are talking about flyrods get travel rods....some of mine are only 18" long in the case. They are also great for backpacking.

Bob:

I am not sure that any of my flyrods will fit when assembled...yeah I have several 3-piece rods myself. I am thinking about times when I change spots on the stream or am tired at the end of the day and don't want to dismantle my rig.

Of course a rooftop is another spot....just not as secure.

Thanks Bob.

Watch out on those magnetic mounts. I have two friends who mangled several Winstons and nice reels. They can dislodge on bad roads.
