Need advice from any of you guys/gals with 08 Clubbies (Re: Bluetooth)
I've searched this forum high and low, but cannot find anyone with an 08 Clubman weighing in on whether their cell phone works well with their Bluetooth.
I have a brand new LG EnVy phone... it "works" with the car, but the car does not connect to the address book and the phone constantly re-pairs with the car... meaning not all calls get picked up by the Bluetooth.
So... what I need to know from you kind people is what kind of phone do you have and does it work with your Bluetooth... and by "work" I mean do you have full functional use of the phone (i.e. address book, etc.).
Thanks!!!

Check out this thread on the 2nd Generation main forum. It's a sticky about Bluetooth Compatibility and is attempting to keep a running and up-to-date list of phones that work: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=129431 You may want to check the whole thread. Sometimes even if your phone doesn't work at first, your phone company can update the software to make it compatible - oops, I see William Blake already mentioned that.
My wife's Razr and my iPhone work great. I haven't used the voice address book yet but I'm pretty sure it will work. It will even work better when I have my iPhone connected to the armrest connector for the car antenna.

Blackberry 8830 - Bluetooth
Since I notice the Post of Club(wo)Man, I tried my Blackberry 8830 and it Paired great, and does sound real clear. I asked my wife how good it sounded since she was my first call, and she said it sounded great and was not garbled or static during the coversation.
So I O-Fish-O-ly like it!

Yep. I'm not a big fan of talking on the phone, but it uses up my commute time really well, so I talk a lot while I'm driving (no holding it to my ear is SO cool!). I can now talk all the way home without driving acccidentally like a jerk, or looking SO "L.A."... And, come July or whenever the No Phones law takes effect, I'm in the clear... Bluetooth is fantastic!.
My only "problem"... i find myself sitting in the car after I get home and have parked in order to finish a call ... I haven't figured out how to get the call to switch back to my phone once I'm done driving... does anyone know if it can even do this? ... I love the way it will switch to bluetooth when I'm on a call and I get in the car, what about the other way around?

my wifes LG VX8300 works great as well. Full phonebook. Sounds like she is in a tunnel on the other end, but clear and safe. I'm not sure why everyone is making a big deal out of the integrated adaptor in the armrest. It's like $125 for the correct sleeve and it does not change any of the functions of the phone. Just plug in your car adaptor into the lighter plug and leave the phone in the little tray and save the money.
