I'm not going to be able to see a Clubman at our local dealership until Sat (weird - they tell me that's the day of the launch, and yet I read posts all over here about dealers elsewhere already having them out on the lot?).

I'm wondering, though - would one be able to fit a typical pair of skis in a Clubman with 1/2 the rear seat down? Id like to avoid a ski rack, never cared for the looks/aerodynamics of 'em.

 

They fit in our MINI so I'm sure they will fit in the Clubman...

This might be where you select the skis to fit your vehicle. If you select the right skis, they will fit.

I measured 56" from the back of the front seats to the inside lip of the rear hatch on the Clubman, if that helps. This was with the front seats about mid-track fore-and-aft.

 

I can get my 166 skis in without sacrificing much passenger space in the R56, and can get the 175's in making a very uncomfortable passenger. I would imagine the clubman should handle most skis just fine carrying two people.
