I hope no one I might drive around thinks they can try this with my car (when I get it!) There'll be hell to pay for that one!

I must be getting old...

I thought it was a very lame add. No one who posted comments on the site seems to agree with me though...

Sheeze, I even grew up on pinball!

I agree it was a lame ad. Didn't make any sense or illustrate the fact the clubman is a new mini, and comes with the built in mini fun. They need a new quirky ad campaign, Not a weird one that makes you go huh.

I honestly don't care for these lame BSSP made ads. The current MINIUSA ad agency seems to be pretty much hit and miss.

I long for the days when Crispin, Porter + Bogusky of Miami, used to handle the MINIUSA marketing account. The best automarketing campaign was done by those folks from 2002 until 2005/06 when they made the very foolish decision of dumping the MINIUSA account and go with Volkswagen, which by the way, hasn't been a very happy marriage ever since.

The current BSSP ad agency is based in Sausalito, CA and while some of the folks that work there live and breath MINIs, the whole collective hasn't been able to deliver consistent and great ads like those from CP+B.

Personally, I don't think BSSP gets the MINI at all.

Did they do the ad campaign with the G-whiz, Moto Go Grip, and hey horn. Those mini ads were brilliant.

better not

yeah, i agree, but funny... in a Huh? sorta way.

my favorite MINI ad (billboard) thus far has been the "four crotch crotch rocket". I was sitting in traffic, read it... read it again, and totally cracked up. Way better that that commercial.

If it's the pinball ad then it's an add meant to attract interest and attention and as such it's fine. No great info, but it has a vibe that works with MINIs, imo. Since MINI ads tend to not air on broadcast TV, who knows where it was seen. No point in over-thinking it. Heck, the fact that the car isn't even fully seen may be planned, just to spark interest in a car w/ those crazy doors!!!
