Jmac & wifey, congrats on your purchase, you will love it. I feel your pain, I ordered my MCS in october of '05, signed papers and drivee it off of the dealers lot in march '06. It was tough, but SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

Funny you should ask. I seem to be the one checking the OL everyday to see if there is a change in the order.

 

In that case, you might as well just head back and order another one for yourself. You'll be like that (I think) Nissan commercial where the couple is trying to get up earlier than the other just to get the "good" car...

Welcome and have fun! I also cross shopped the mustang convertible GT, but every time I thought of the gas consumption with that V8 my brain said "don't do it!!!" My officemate knew my dilemma and recommended MINI, and now here I am!

Welcome to the club and congrats on the dark silver,I have the same color... 40K ? why so much? did your dealer rack you up over sticker price? If so check around for a better price.. NAM people don't pay over MSRP ... that's a sin around here as I've been reading...

 

500 over I think. I could have driven to Portland but didnt want to.
40K mostly due to every option including the works kit.

 

So this guy I know by sight around town here, nice quiet type guy very into cars, has a spanky new VW GTI in the world's greatest color ORANGE. Just did not do a thing for me as I sat there chatting away in my ORANGE MINI. GTI-boring, no bling or wow factor. Very pared down. Guess it works for some people but did I detect a sparkle of the green-eyed monster in his eye??? I dunno. I think the VW color looks like a Creamsicle at about 6pm on July 4th...Minis kick butt. I had three fellow Mini waves today. Keep 'em coming!

 

The Mini vert is sitting on the dock waiting for a ship (according to the Mini phone number). Getting closer!
