New Cabrio owner

Hello fello cabrio owners! We just picked up our new Astro Black S the Friday before Christmas. Added the Glove box organizer, Boot Net, and Wind Deflector at delivery.

What an impressive automobile! The test drive did not prepare me for just how incredable the handling and accelaration really is! I was especially surprised that during break in that even tho keeping the car under 4500RPM was very difficult, it was still incredibly rewarding. Went motoring right away and couldn't stop! put 1100 miles on it the first week and as of today we have 1650 on the clock, in only 10 days!

Unfortunatly it was raining nonstop and we only have had parts of a couple of days where we could put the top down... need to actually take a picture of the car with the top down, but here are some teasers:

This is at delivery. Nice Wheels!

Still at delivery. Nice Boot!

All anthracite interior. Messy already!

Now, not being able to leave well enough alone, we have already added a few mods: Beltline Blackout, Stubby antenna, Smoke colored Side indicators, and 35% window tint. Check out these photos below:

I Love it!

Congrats on a great new car! My MINI and I (and my husband and pets too...) are moving to Portland in May or June. Maybe we'll see you around!

Awesome Black Beauty ....Have you named it yet?

Welcome to the wonderful world of topless motoring...

word of advice, make sure you establish a MINI Fund Acct. for all those mods...you're about to do!! You'll need it.

Thanks Brownflyer! Yes, my wife and I already have a MINI fund and that is how those mods got done right away! The cars name is "Jiggy" kind of a play on baby Jag and the Will Smith song "Getting Jiggy with it". Our mascot is a plush Black Panther Kitten, which we need to figure out how to stick to the dashboard better, because it keeps trying to leap to its death every time we go on the twisties!!

For our next mod we are adding PIAA Driving lights.

Thank you all for your wonderfull advice and support! This forum is most excellent.

I got the beltline blackout tape, the stubby antenna, and the smoke colored side indicators from OutMotoring

http://www.outmotoring.com

Their shipping was quick and I called them to ask questions and they were really helpfull and had advice based on the expirience with their own cars!

Purse?

Interesting you should mention the "Purse" Blimey... That is actually something My wife and I picked up at Macy's before we got the car, specifically to keep in the MINI. It is a fleece bag with a picture of a hat, scarf, and gloves on the side, and you guessed it, contains said items in the same color as the bag! (I generally don't wear purple while in the MINI, so my wife gets to use them to keep extra toasty )

They had them in several colors and at $20 before the holidays. Not sure what the original price was, but I know that is a good price for all 4 items(including a nice bag!)
