Stripe Whoa's

Ok, I am having a hard time deciding on stripes for NEMO... I like the XXL racing stripes from cooperflags

But I kinda want a black stripe with border chrome accent. Do you guys think it'll look weird if the big stripe was black and the smaller stripes to the side were chrome?

Anyone have a black and chrome stripe so I could see it together?

Thanks guys :D

Your MINI is Hot Orange... hmmmmmmmm.... not sure about the black and chrome combo on that car. Sure would look good on Chile Red, though !

White stripes with black pinstripes would be the most nemo-esque , but chrome and black would look good, too.

Ohhh I think it would look good. You've got the black of the top, tires, & A-pillars to bring the black in & then the chrome bits to tie in w/the chrome edging

Ya know... I'm still not sure. Might just have to see it in person to be sure. Everett, Washington would make for a great road trip !!

See, that's why I can't decide.. I just can't picture it LOL

It would be a great drive!!! We've got awesome twisties up here.. ever heard of Chuckanut drive?

Here's NEMO... I don't really want to go with the white because then I would want everything white like my mirrorcaps and wheels...

And here's a quick photoshop job of what it might look like with the chrome

I like it. I think the chrome will go with the chrome accents - just keep the chrome side stripes about the thickness of one of the grill slats and I think it would flow nicely. Plus it will be a bit different.

Okay, Suzann... I'm sold ! That photoshop image looks very nice and those colors do go very well with your Hot Orange MCC, expecially with all that exterior chrome you have !

Darn, guess the trip to Everett isn't needed after all.

Looks great Suzann. I hadn't thought of doing racing stripes in black & chrome.

I had the black with white pinstripe factory stripes on Gromit and was happy with them at first. However, the more I looked at them the more I thought they didn't really match since there was no other white on the car. Gromit is orange and black with chrome trim. (I even had the chrome mirror caps, but they have been replaced with Hot Orange for now. The chrome ones will be used for a later customization). I removed the factory stripes and had Mike at Aesthetic Creations make me a set with chrome pinstripe instead of the white. I think it is a major improvement and really ties in with the rest of the car.

They aren't the same stripes as you are considering, but if you want, I'll try to get a pic of my stripes today.

Mishka, I would love to see the new stipes with chrome... it'll give me a better sense of how the black and chrome will go together

Thanks!

Hopefully these pics will help you decide. Sorry Gromit isn't squeaky clean, but it's been raining like crazy here the past few days.
