I have a part on order (Been 2 weeks) it is in and they have to install in later next week. Today I received an error code EP.. Shows up in the area where your gear selection is in the large speeod...."Service Soon" also lights up...
Book says transmission issue. Shifts fine...Anyone had this error code show up before.. On my Mini is auto transmission.

 

Had the EP code and the "service engine soon" (SES) lights come up after a software install. After about 8hrs of the car being off, the EP code disappeared and the gears displayed appropriately. Got the SES light to go off after openning and closing the gas cap. Good luck.

 

Interesting. The car just went through the first checkup last week....But we have put about 2000 miles on since then....

 

Any other thoughts

 

They said it was connected to the DSC sensor that went bad about a month ago. We have been awaiting a new sensor....

 

Is it hot where you are? I know when the temp here gets over 100 degrees the EP pops up.

 

We get in the 90's....Seen a few days at 100 each year...
The day it happened it was 81...
