Window tint on a Cabrio?

Hey all,

wanted to see if anyone has window tint on their cabrio? Any tips or hints? I have a 06 MCSC CR/B on order and wanted to see about window tint options...

I thought about it but then when the top is down I feel that it could inhibit vision. I've noticed that I can't see in cars that are tinted very well from the outside. When the top is down you're pretty much outside and the light levels could make it work the same way. Besides the windows are down alot too so it kind of makes it pointless. Throw in the aspect that vision is pretty limited when the top is up... it just doesn't make sense to me. But that's IMHO.

When I was doing the research to order mine, I found a lady in Texas with a Hot Orange MCC with tinted windows, and it actually looked good, even with the top down and windows up. I'll snoop around and post the pics when I find them. I'm debating mine now after seeing hers!

I didn't have a choice since I bought my MCC used... but IMHO I would agree with Gr8Force ... field of vision is impared already when the ragtop is up. The windows get rolled own most of the time anyways when going topless. I think, if you can get factory tints (tinted glass not film) then go for it. Otherwise, go without. Good luck with your decision

Man, that looks pretty good. I have been toying with that idea, and I like it.

Hmm, something else to put on the list of things to do(my wife rolls her eyes again ).

Well, look who it is, my better half (swedish fish) finally online on NAM!

I think that the tint would look good on the cabrio, but I'd be concerned of the rear window... any rear window pictures?

Hey mini-rolls... what's that contraption in your back seat? I thought maybe a child-seat, but that doesn't look like any child seat I've ever seen..!

And welcome Swedish Fish!

If you are talking about the item between the seats, it is a video camera. It is mounted to the drivers seat. I use it for drives and racing.

Window tint in Texas is MUST. Mines legal 35% (I think) and I haven't had any problems. Makes the Astro Black look better too!
