It's great to have a car that so many people admire and appreciate, and the reactions are even better when you have something other than the common blue, red, white and black(nothing against those colors, it's just nice to be different).

And the more Hot Orange, the merrier!

Doh! I've posted pics all over NAM, but not here... I've done a few MODs to my car so far (nothing TOO radical yet - I just did the blacked-out grille this weekend)... Driving lights are being installed next weekend (Hella "Angel Eyes" lights) and I'm considering the USS MOD (not sure if I need it) as well as custom orange and dark, metallic blue Union Jack mirror covers. I'm also toying with the idea of replacing the stock turn signal/parking light units with Moss's "angel eye" units as well... I think the twin light rings would look striking at night... maybe TOO striking, who knows?

All my emblems and graphics (except the boot stripes) are magnetic, so I can return to the stock look or change the accents at whim:

hEY ALL, I am picking up my 06 Hot Orange cooper S tomorrow at noon. How cool is that?!! Just in time for the weekend. It is a bit of a surprise as The website was not even showing it a t the vdc till today although it landed on the 31st. I just decided to call since my Ma had not returned emails for a long time*( ever since the deal went thru, turned out she was transfered to service, wonder what she did wrong lol) and the person who answered the phone said " I just ssaw your car" I was like'Coool" enough of the teenage patter. I will post a pic later

Hey All,

I have Hot Orange MCCS with 16" wheels. When I purchased the car I was told that having 17" wheels could result in many bent rim problems. However, now after having the car for 6 months, I think I would like to have 17" rims. Does anyone know of a good set of rims (or rim/tire package) at a low cost? Are there any places that sell used MC rims? I'll just use them for the summer months, and place the 16" on during the winter months.

It depends on what your looking for. If you want Autocross or track wheels then weight is your concern and they can get pricey. Check out Discount Tire or The Tire Rack or Edge Racing. I have only bought from Discount and they're top notch. If all you're looking for is a set of 17's then you can probably find a set of S-Lites (and they ain't lite!) on the Marketplace relatively cheap here. I'm going up to 18's shortly by the end of the month. I've got the technical issues covered where it won't be a prob.

Appreciate the info Gr8Force. Seems like a lot of "wheelin and dealin" on the Marketplace.

Hot Orange Hooded Pullover

TSR53 (aka Kewl Auto Art), who made Hot Orange Owners Club grill badges and stickers, has expanded the design to include hooded pullovers with the Owners Club designs. For the first round of orders, he is offering a group buy with these designs. He only needs 25 orders (combination of all designs, not just the Hot Orange design) for us to get this price. You can read more about it here or go to his website for info and to order.

The deadline for the group buy is Nov 20.

You may want to keep checking his website, as additional items are on the way.

Happy Motoring!!
