R52 Hot Orange Frappr Map!
Got my 06 HO MCSC last week and love it. Most everyone in my neighborhood loves the color.
I just got my Black w/White bonnet strips. I'll post a pic later.
I'm the first in Utah on Frapper!

Welcome sidetrak! Looking forward to some pics.
It's nice to be unique among the unique!
I spent some time in SLC in 2001. You have some nice roads for motoring, and some great views to enjoy in the convertible.

Nice "dream picture". We are now waiting for you to post the "real" picture.
Your car looks great with the stripes. IMO MINIs are just supposed to have the bonnet stripes. I am trying to get the nerve to go out and remove my factory stripes and put on the custom (black w/chrome pinstripe) bonnet stripes I just bought. I have laid them on the bonnet and really like the look, but I'm afraid I'll mess up doing the removal or installation process. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this.
Definitely get some wax on your wheels. It makes a big difference in keeping the wheels clean.

I was just there..
But in a rental car
Otherwise the MINI would have gotten closer to getting crushed by those boulders
I thought that they looked like they were going to fall.
I rained so hard that their was a flash flood and people where jumping the natural streams off the side on the cliffs, it was puddling ...then waterfalls everywhere
-what a trip

Holla From the ATL
Nemo lives down here in the South... y'all... just arrived on March 31st!
www.nemomini.com
Now if I can just find some hot orange shades... not orange. HOT ORANGE.
And lemme tell ya... I know it's only spring, but yesterday it was already up to 90 degrees. But I REFUSE to put that top up! No matter how many tractor trailers try to pin me in on 285, no matter how many gay boys hoot and holler at me in Midtown, no matter how many kids surround me at the Georgia Aquarium screaming "Mommy look... it's Nemo!", no matter how much I end up sweating through my kakhi shorts... as God and Miss Scarlett are my witnesses... THE TOP WILL NOT CLOSE!
Disclaimer: Nemo regrets that he is not able to travel on rainy or winter days. We signed an agreement and damn it, we're not closin' the top!

Nemomini - Welcome to Hotlanta! You don't have to put up the top when it gets over 90. Just turn on the AC! You put the heat on in the winter so why not put the AC on in the summer?! Works for me.
C'mon over to AtlantaMINIs.com, sign up and join the fun! I'm one of two HO's in the club. I've seen at least three other HO's around town though. I'm sure you'll more ho's in midtown though! lol!!!

Ha!
Thanks Gr8Force! Maybe I'm doing something wrong.. but when I type in that address in my browser, I'm redirected to a miniature horse site??
And is it just me, or does the A/C in the MINI dry your eyes out really bad? Whenever I've used it I've had to use eyedrops! But when I don't use it I'm fine. Weird.
Let me know if the site is different. I wanna join and play!

My bad on the site addy. I always forget its a .net name.
AC drying my eyes out...nope. I have it hitting my arms and chest/belly (same thing at this age). Welcome to Atlanta. If you think the AC is bad you must be having a hay day with the pollen. After 14 years I'm used to it. I rarely have to hit the allergy medicine (flonase and/or psuedoephidrine). Even with two cats!

Oh you GOTTA play with all the sound bites all over the Nemo site then! I call him Nemo, just because that's what my little nephew calls him. That, and Sharkbait wouldn't fit on a Georgia tag. Although the little brat DID try to gimp my passenger door with a plastic chair while he was saying "Lucky Fin!"
Thanks for the welcome! It feels good to be part of an exclusive club!

I will admit that the white stripes and wheels do look good though.
No stripes on this bad boy. I'm 180 degrees opposite of you guys. I've always thought HO is at it's best without stripes however I am leaning towards *true fire or real flames. Call 'em what you want. Some others are starting to add those to their MINI's but I haven't seen any pics yet.
*click on "tru fire" link and then "tru fire set 04" then first blue pic. Imagine that on a bed of hot orange!

Would your fire be blue or an orange to compliment the awesome color of you car? I can see either one looking pretty cool with your car/roof combination.
This is a long time away as I have several other goals to accomplish before the custom paint. 1. Finish suspension upgrades (Koni FSD's & JCW springs, USS, wheels & tires) completed end of May. 2. BBK end of May if $'s allow otherwise end of June. 3. Body kit from Zeemax (big$ item) - next year?
The completion date for all that is about $8k away and about a year away.
Either color looks good and I've even seen other color flames. One was a green flame. While that would look awesome on a black MINI I don't think it would go so well on a HO. As you can see the backgrounds are dark (black or blue) or orange. If it's dark it has either a blue or orange flame but if it's an orange background it's only with orange flames. So I'm really going wild with a HO background with blue flames.
It will be limited to how much area will be painted as I don't want to go completely nuts with it. It'll already be over the top so a little discretion is called for. I'll have flames coming off the scoop and the wheel wells. The tailgate will also have some but that's the piece-de-resistance. I'm still working on my interpretation of it to present to the painter.
I'll have my wheels powder coated with a high gloss blue. That will give the effect of the wheels being the source for the blue flames coming off the wheel wells. The flame coming from the scoop...well, you gotta open the hood to see the blue I have in there.
I have yet to take pics of that. Gotta clean it first and I've got more blue coming (wires, coolant hose, intercooler diverter powder coated, etc.). I'm not quite finished.
