MCSC remote opening questions

Maybe this is noted in the manual but what is the exact way to open the top using the remote key? This is what I have done:

1 click unlocks driver door
2 press again and all doors unlock
3 press and hold and the sunroof opens
4 after its open, press and hold again and the top opens completely

Is there a short way to do this?

Works the same way in a MCC also I've been told, however that it's best to have the engine running when putting the top up & down so as not to run down the motor on the top mechanism. I've only tried the remote opening once just to see how it works. It did not work by holding it down & waiting. But then maybe I wasn't patient enough.

Anyway I've tried the press and hold and it doesn't seem to work for me? I usually don't use the remote to open the top, but sometimes is nice when it's been sitting in a parking lot top open the top first before getting in...Of course I could just leave the top down while it's parked but it's not always "safe" to leave the top down when parked.

Because between every press of the button on the key, a few precious seconds tick away that I could be spending behind the wheel.

Doesn't work for me either. Mine only works remotely after the car is completely unlocked. It does work when you're cleaning your wheels and leave the key in your pocket, but only when the car is unlocked!

Same thing happens on mine. And since there is the delay after pushing the button before anything happens, it seems like it takes forever before it is down. When my wife and I take the kids for a ride I like to lower the top and just lift them over the side and into their car seats while the top is down. It is much easier to get them in and get their seatbelts on this way. I always feel kind of foolish with the four of us all just standing there watching and waiting for the top to go down.

I tried it today, just to doubel check and I need to push twice. Once to unlock the driver door and then push and hold to unlock all and open windows and moonroof.
