06 R52 Manual, do I have a LSD installed?
Owned the car forever (2nd owner, no sticker) and always figured it didn't have a LSD. Really had nothing to go on but for the fact that it's near impossible not to spin the tires on a aggressive launch.
Yesterday I was trolling the forums and found a site that stated every R52 with a manual gearbox shipped with a LSD?
Here is the thread I was reading.
History of the Australian R50
My R52 was manufactured for the US market, did they also all ship with LSD's installed?
Without pulling the trani and cracking her open, is there a way to tell?
Fired up the laptop and grabbed the DSC's coding data.
There are several functions that make me think there is no LSD installed. Again, based on nothing but a hunch.
1. Differential locking control: Not Enabled
2. Differential Traction control: Not Enabled
3. Logic Limited-Slip Differential: Not Enabled.
I've attached the trace files for your viewing pleasure.
Thoughts?

@Mineeee
I haven't had a chance to get the front end up and test, it's hot as ***** here in Tampa. Just brutal.
It did have to give that post a 2nd read to make sure I had read it correctly. Maybe it was true in the AU market, cause I'd bet the farm mines has nothing but a bone stock open diff in there.
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge! Cheers.

US R52 did not get limited slip differential as standard (unless it was factory equipped with the JCW package). There is a white
label on drivers side of the transmission (down by the axle). If it has a BKL code it has factory LSD. If BKE or other it is
a open diff.

The easy way to check LSD is to jack up the vehicle and turn one of the front wheels by hand. If the opposite front tire turns the same direction you have an LSD.
