R52 Top Latch Adjusting?
I'm sorry for my English, i hope You will understand my post.
In my Mini is some problem. The roof seems to be working fine, but after full open red light is flashing. I' noticed, that latch on the top left is opening just little bit, on the right top is opening a lot wilder. The latch on the left is blocking mechanism just 1 inch before opening is finished. Is any adjusting of latches?

I’m not an expert but what so far what i’ve Been reading I think you should replace the cables, I’m having almost the same issues what I noticed on mines is that the sunroof is not fully opening, maybe due to the cables or a tired sunroof motor!
In order for me to open the convertible on my mini I need to used the Allen key to finished opening the sunroof and opening the convertible.
there is a thread to how replace the cables on YouTube, it’s very informative!
i need to find out where the sensors for the sunroof are located to trace it to the relay and see if the convertible relay gets power it.
good luck

Yea based on all the threads the crimp on one side was weak and the cable broke off. You can either do the JB Weld repair or replace the cables. I'm in the same boat. I really want to try this myself but watched the videos and it's hard to follow because the camera work is so poor. People have used the vid very successfully but if you read the comments lots of folks ended up with issues with their cars after trying to fix it using the videos. Wish somebody who sells replacement cables (like ECS) would film the repair and make it available with purchase

I just finished replacing my cables yesterday, both of them came loose. It is not really that hard to do, we just took our time. The hardest part we encountered was getting the canvas loops unhooked to be able to fold it out of the way to be able to proceed. I bought the car knowing the top didnt work, so I had no knowledge of the operation of it. That being said, it is very do-able. I was going to try the jb weld method, but the cable ends would have needed some work, so I just decided to replace the cables and have a little more peace of mind. If this is indeed the problem you are having, keep the thread going and people will try to help.

Roof is fully working, so is no rush to replace cables. Only one issue is left latch is open just little bit.
I removed some plastic cover from both of mechanism, then noticed a lot of grease on the left side only. So it make me sure previous owner tried to fix it.
BTW my Mini just passed most important test in United Kingdom: three days and three nights heavy rain, and no any sign of water leaking :-)

Awesome! Congrats. make sure that latch locks down, it might just need to be greased more on the sliders that are part of the Front latches linked below
