R52 Cabrio dirt question
Cabrio dirt question
We all know the back end of the coupe gets v.dirty v.fast. Does the convertible have the same problem or are the soft top aerodynamics different enough to keep the back window clean?
lol!
I see that Maganoo has posted already! Beating me to the punch.
That, my friends, was the result of blasting through NW Connecticut this past Saturday at a MINI meet. There was freezing rain and snow Friday night into early Saturday morning.
I think she'll be packing 1Z Glass cleaner in the future.
I had to wash my MINI and there was sand in every nook and cranny. Cheers!

I have noticed that the big rear roof spoiler in the MCS does help in minimizing the dirt in the rear of the car. The wife's Cooper does not have a spoiler and the back of that car gets a lot more dirtier than mine.
I guess this is a given with convertibles, but not having a rear wiper/washer in a car like the MINI is truly a let down. I still contend that while the Cabrio is very nice and all, you get less car for more $$$.
Yes, you could say that I still don't get why people pay more for convertibles and put up with thier daily quirks.

It was suggested that I put the top down so then I would be able to see behind me, however I didn't want to end up covered in that junk. Took me almost three hours to wash and wax my baby the next day. I really had to get in and clean the wheek wells too.
And yes heyduard I already have plans to put a can of glass cleaner and a roll of paper towels in my boot.
