R52 Convertible Beltline trim foam pad placement

Greetings,

Recently ordered this kit to replace both the left and tight hand sides on my '05 R52 MCS. The kit comes with two (2) foam pads that are not on the original.

Anyone know where these are placed?

pic attached.

Thanks in advance.

Rich

where did you get your trim and do you mind saying how much? Cheapest I’ve found is $319 which is ridiculous for such a simple piece.

thanks

A dealer might be the cheapest as the other parts suppliers buy from dealers and then mark up the MINI parts. minipartsmass.com (a dealer in Massachusetts) offers 20% off but also charges shipping. I believe they are a supporter of this website. There may be others also, not sure

R52 Trim Replacement

I purchased mine from Outmotoring for $319.00. The quality vendors who post here and others all are about the same cost based on my research prior to ordering.

If you do replace them, check out the hardware (we have it separate and in a kit) from the location. If you drive yours in the winter, the torx head on the screws can be rusted up pretty bad and strip out when you replace them. The little gutter on the back can collect water and moisture a lot, I got the hardware replaced on mine.
