2005 R52 LED lighting - Can Bus required?

I've searched through several pages of R52 threads but didn't see a thread dedicated to LED upgrades, so I apologize in advance if I missed it!

I started updating the stock incandescent lighting with LEDs and thus far have only used CanBus lighting on the exterior, replacing the side markers, license plate, and front parking lights. So far, these have worked very well. I will eventually swap out the turn signals, tail lights, backup light, and pssibly the side markers.

Now I want to tackle the interior, but here's my question:
Should I continue to use CanBus bulbs as I did for the exterior? Common sense says yes, but I've heard rumor that this wasn't necessary. I don't mind the extra cost at all.

Also, does the dome light require two bulbs?

Thanks!

We use those Ziza bulbs with those resistors as they will not flicker or throw a code on the outside. On the inside some led bulbs flicker or just don't work with the voltage and LKM " light control module .

We have the Ziza kits here for the R52 and they look great and match in output.

Install pdf is linked on the main master kit.

Good luck.

Its the stock color that looks the best, its a white/blue closest to the newer MINI led interiors. We dont have any other colors at this point as this color provide the most useful light. Start doing blue and red and the light output goes down and you cannot see too well.
