our 06 convert brake lights occassionally come on after car is shut off and key is removed. tried disconnecting brake switch to no avail. could it BCM issue or ???? any help is appreciated, thanks.

 

Kinda thinking you might be right...bcm issue....did you look for moisture on the right side passenger footwell? Sometimes the bcm gets damp/wet ....sometimes it can be saved/dried out.

 

Had the brake light say on after I shut the car off before. Was a sticky brake light.

Did you disconnect that switch ?

Then second the BCM sometimes can get wet and decide to do its own thing. Convertibles have there own from hardtops. Look like this below.
