Trash

So, a friend of mine who hadn't seen my car since I bought it in January- saw it for the first time this past Saturday. (it was topless of course)

She asked me- “Does anyone ever throw things into your car?” because she had heard of other friends of hers who have convertibles having issues with people spitting gum in their cars, or throwing other pieces of trash inside.

I too have read stories other places about people having drinks poured into their convertibles.

Has anyone experienced anything like this??

Can't say that it ever happened to me when I had my Cabrio. Although, I made a habit of putting the top up whenever I parked it somewhere or wasn't around it to keep an eye on it...

The one girl i had read about had one of those Solana convertibles. She said she pulled up next to a school bus at a stop light and a kid dumped their entire drink into her converitible

i was just curious if anyone had something like that happen?

I remember (years ago) reading about a guy who saw a Viper at the movie theater, with the top down, taking up two spaces right up front. To teach him a lesson about hogging all the good parking spaces he poured his pepsi all over the interior.

Moral of the story: put your top up or don't double park at a movie theather

used to have a MG midget and i would always find stuff in my car. once i guess, someone was robbing a car and the police came so they stashed all the stuff in my midget so they could escape.

when i found the stuff i was bewildered. called police and they recovered it.

Convertible as my daily driver for the last 10 years and 140K miles.... never had anything like this happen... I always close the top if the car is in an area where I can't see it... and I only park in "good" spots...

Only park in "good" spots -- but I do leave the top down everywhere I go. I've never had a problem.

People throwing trash in the back of my pickup was certainly more prevalent (though easy to take care of).

I had a @#$% so-and-so flick his cigarette butt at my open Cabrio while I was stopped at a traffic light in front of his apartment building.
