I have decided to leave my steering wheel the way it is, I am incorporating the same color for my brembo big brake kit calipers (amber) changing the sidewalk side marker logo to accent it too and door sills, (attached thumbnail below). mike at aesthetic creations is making those for me.

see pics below, before blacked out interior..

I have also decided to leave my steering wheel alone. I like it 2 tone and the stitching on the seats and the mats all match.

Greetings. I am a new MINI owner (Sidewalk Package) and as I was detailing my car today I noticed two little clips or slots in the glovebox that look like they should hold a pen, pencil, stylus or something similar. It is just above the two cup holder indentions. Any ideas? Am I missing something that should have come with the car?

Hmm, I'm going out now to take a look.

Congratulations, by the way.

I assumed that they were a pen/pencil holder, and that's what they're doing at the moment.

Last of the Supercharged...

Anyone out there have a new Cabrio with the "last of the supercharged" badge? I'm trying to figure out a way to get one of the badges and wondering if there is a part # on the back...

I haven't messed around with it enough to see how to take it off, or can I just look through the grill, or???

Shouldn't be hard to get, the door sill is where the car is numbered.

my Sidewalk update: We just hit 10,000 miles since taking delivery March 15. That includes a road trip for three to Colorado and back and other trips around Texas.

So far so good.

You're welcome! We're in love with Stella too!

We just had our first oil change and are now at 13,000+ miles (picked up new April 2) - 2 trips to Colorado from Minneapolis helped! Pretty soon it will be time to tuck her away for the winter.

Winter??

Are you really putting your beautiful car up for the winter?

We're in Minneapolis, got my car on in the first week of January, bought snow tires, and it was the best car I've ever driven in winter! Is there a reason for not using this great car in winter. Also, I loved driving I94 to Saint Paul in the winter with the top down if it wasn't snowing, with the heat blasting, and having other drivers look at me in awe!

BCG:thumbsup:

BCG

Reason = Road Salt

We may need to rethink this, but that has been 'the plan' since we bought her. We have loved driving Stella top-down in the evening lately - even though it is cool - that's what the heated seats and windows up are for!

Salt shouldn't have that power!

Just wash underneath regularly!

Tonight as we tucked in the daughter we heard booming noises outside. From the balcony we saw fireworks at the little lake down the street. While the balcony provided a great view, we knew the opportunity was too good to resist.

Down to the MINI, in pajamas no less, we dropped the top and headed down to the lake, catching a good 10 minutes of fireworks on a perfect, crisp autumn night. It was a celebration for Day of the Dead (All Saint's/ All Souls) and it was a good way to end our weekend.

The view is so much better in the MINI!

And the ice cream we got afterwards also tasted much better top down.

Sidewalk?

I'm a Noob. I just bought an 05 MCSc and am learning all of the lingo. I've owned and Brit biles since the late 60's and still do. I know Brit speak I'm a "Ton Up" member in good standing. I've ridden on a few sidewalks in my day but what does sidewalk have to do with Mini's?

Heated seat connection puzzle

(Please excuse cross post)!
Gaak! My wife's (Fantastic Choice on this forum) 2008 Cabrio has seat heating coils but they weren't connected. I installed the retrofit connecting harness and everything looks good up to the two grey/red wires that go to an X1019 connector. My 2005 MCS has this connector behind the left door sill trim, but the Cabrio doesn't. Any idea where I connect these wires?

TIA.

Greetings all...as much as it kills me I have to ask to be eliminated from the Sidewalk club (035 - hhcribbs)..my BRG Sidewalk came into the dealer and due to the "current market" they tried to raise the price significantly (slightly over 5K). Needless to say I declined, found a "hot" Hot Orange Convertible S in Chicago, flew up last week and drove her home to Tulsa, OK. Maybe in '09 or 2010 I will be back...until then, happy motoring and have an awesome holiday season!
