well my car has arrived!! I must say i love it. this weekend we went to the MTTS show in Miami and then to Island mirada Keys. Wow what a beautiful drive.
I made few decisions to modify my car.
i have decided to add all of my interior accents to carbon fibre. In lieu i have decided to change my car name to "Carbon".
I am going to Minspeed to get a quote. I will post pics as soon as i get a camera, my other camera was lost.
btw, i love panther black interior, but i was wrong the steering wheel has a malt brown accent.
but no worries i am going to replace the leather on the wheel.

Carbon's Black Panther interior looks good on the White Silver, and agree with your future changes. The carbon fiber look is very cool 
and the only issue I have with MINI is the mixing of Malt Brown into the interior. At least with the automatic you have a black shifter. BTW - I think SPFZERO has the right idea - they should give you the JCW wheel

I don't understand the brown on the steering wheel. BTT how are you going to replace the leather on the wheel? I think I might need to do the same...
But love those seats!!! Glad I went with the Black also.

I will change the malt brown leather to silver/grey to match the piping and then the steering wheel thumb to carbon fibre. see attached photo.

that makes too much sense
I spoke to my MA before my car was shipped, she assured me that is was all black, I gave her a lashing yesterday on the phone, she apologized to me and wants to make it up to me by giving me a carbon fibre hood scoop for free. I would say that offsets the cost for the change of leather.

Good deal! DEFINITELY post pics when you get all the changes done!
So, it looks like ALL Sidewalks - including Panther Black interiors - will have the Malt Brown steering wheel and shift **** (for manual transmissions).

Well, after wearing out the Mini Owner's website it FINALLY changed from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production". Thanks again for the site...we are more exited than ever. Have a great week all!

I didn't know that the Panther Black leather was available on the Sidewalk package. I tried to find it on the configurator but I can't seem to find it. Is the Panther Black Sidewalk only available on certain exterior colors?

I'm not sure the last calendar date before they pull "the plug" on producing the R52 & Sidewalk (soon, possibly already). Perhaps some dealers have some 'spec' Sidewalk Edition MINIs in the cue that you could grab.
If MINI follows some past patterns - perhaps Malt Brown Leather, Panther Black Leather and White Silver exterior will start to be offered in other models next year (guessing Clubman first).
SWC Members/Owners/Aficionados any corrections or opinions?

When I got mine a few weeks ago, several Chicagoland dealers had White Silver Sidewalks coming on the boat... all with Black Panther leather. I spoke for one over the phone, and while I was talking the sales guy reported an available Malt Brown that just showed up on a truck. Quickest sale that guy ever made, I'll bet.

If I recall correctly, one of the Clubman leather options looks awfully close to Malt Brown (maybe like chocolate malt brown). At least on the configurator it looks similar.
